Transport

Walking

When you make the decision to travel under your own power, you're making a healthy choice. Swap a short trip in the car for a walk ie when you get the milk or bread from the local shops.

Good for your wallet
Walking is FREE transport! It makes good sense to walk instead of using your car for short journeys. The least fuel efficient car trip is a short one.

Good for your Wellbeing
Walking is a great way to improve your fitness. It also benefits your community because you reduce air and noise pollution. Brisk walking is an excellent way of getting your 30 minutes exercise per day. If you walk to and from work, you might not need to make extra time for exercise.
